Day 1 - 8
Day 1 Thessaloniki - Litochoro
Arrival at the international airport of Thessaloniki. Your guide will meet you at the airport.
Transfer* to the village of Litochoro that is located on the slopes of Mount Olympus. After checking-in into the guesthouse we will have dinner in a tavern.
* The ride Thessaloniki - Litochoro lasts for about 1.5 h.

Day 2 The Enipeas Canyon in the Mount Olympus National Park (walking tour)
After breakfast we go by car (about 40 min) to the village of Prionia (1.100m). The starting point of our hike. Our walking tour through the Enipeas canyon is a part of the E4 long-distance walking trail. There are many beautiful waterfalls, bridges and small lakes to marvel at, as we follow this gorgeous path that goes many times over the river.
The length of the hike is about 5.5 h and it is 9 kilometers long. The difficulty is medium, a brown-bag lunch will be served during a break.

Day 3 Meteora
Today we visit the Meteora monasteries. The monasteries are of inestimable historical and religious value, and since 1988 they belong to the world heritage cultural sites by UNESCO. The monasteries are built in a spectacular way on impressive, pillar-like rocks that reach the height up to 600 m. Your guide will introduce you to the history of the monasteries and the monastic life and you will admire the rare icons and frescoes. After visiting the monastery we will enjoy lunch in a local tavern with homemade Greek specialties. Then we leave the place and drive* to the picturesque village of Vitsa in the Vikos - Aoos National Park.

Day 4 The Vikos Gorge in the Vikos Aoos National Park (walking tour)
The Vikos Gorge is known as the most beautiful canyon in the country and according to the Guinness Book of Records as the deepest canyon in the world in proportion to its width. Our walk starts in the village of Monodendri. After a steep descent through the lush vegetation we reach the dry bed of the river Voidomatis and about six hours later, the source of the river. Then we ascend and after half an hour we reach the village of Vikos, the designation of our hike. This trail is 11 km long and lasts for 6 - 7 hours.

Day 5: Archaeological site Aigai (Vergina)
After breakfast we drive to the archaeological site Aigai, the first capital of the kings of Macedonia (approximately 3 hours' drive). We will visit the underground museum and the royal tombs and we will admire the treasures of the Macedonian kings. After lunch at a local restaurant we will continue to the Kerkini nature reserve (the trip lasts for approximately 1.5 h) and check-in at our guest house.

Day 6 Kerkini Lake (photo tour - tour by boat - photo Safari)
After breakfast our tour boat launches on the lake. We are approaching the moist forest and have a chance to observe the birds' world and the wildlife of the surroundings from a safe distance. We can watch cormorants, herons, storks, Dalmatian pelicans and many other rare birds on the shore or in the waters of Kerkini lake. Our boat trip will take about 2 hours. Around noon we go back to our guesthouse for lunch. In the afternoon we start (on foot or by bike) our photo tour to the selected locations on the lake, where you can take pictures of the beautiful flora and fauna.

Day 7 Thessaloniki
In the afternoon we drive to Thessaloniki. After checking-in at Hotel Olympia you will have time for a stroll on the promenade by the sea. In the evening you can comfortably dine and rest in the traditional district of Ladadika that is not far away from the hotel. Detailed information, tips and a city map you will get directly from your guide.

Day 8: Departure from Thessaloniki airport
After breakfast we drive to the airport of Thessaloniki for your trip home. The tour guide says goodbye.

Day 1 & 2 Guest House Papanikolaou
A warm welcome awaits you on arrival at our guesthouse in Litochoro. The guest house is located in the upper area of the village, very close to the entrance to the Enipeas gorge.
The guest house consists of two buildings that are designed in traditional architecture and includes 18 hospitality rooms. All the rooms are equipped with bathroom and toilet. An evergreen patio is perfect for relaxing.
Day 3 & 4 Selini Guest House
In the charming village of Vitsa the beautiful guest house SELINI is located.
It is an old manor house in the typical style of Epirus, with lots of natural stone and traditional architectural details. It was established in 1993 with its 9 comfortable and welcoming designed rooms. In the same house you can taste the delicious cuisine of Epirus.
Day 5 & 6 Nastou View Inn
For your stay in Kerkini we have chosen a quaint inn of high quality design standards. The pension is located in close proximity to a forest and on the edge of mountain Belles at the altitude of 500 meters. From here you have a breathtaking view of Kerkini lake and the plains with the surrounding villages.
Day 7 Hotel OlympiaThessaloniki
Hotel Olympia is a comfortable, service-oriented hotel with an intellectual design in the heart of Thessaloniki. Hotel Olympia is located in a historic building that is since 1937 belongs to one family. Since the last redesign and renovation in 2007 Hotel Olympia is a boutique hotel with modern, minimalist architecture that offers its guests which are partly traveling on business and partly for recreation, the highest standard of services. All of its 97 bright and cheerfully decorated rooms have views on the ancient Roman marketplace.

Requirements for participation:
Physical and mental health. All activities are suitable for beginners. Good physical condition is necessary because on the second and fourth days there are relatively long walks in the programme.
