Activity holidays with moderate hikes. There could be moderate physical exertion. The terrain, the weather and temperatures difference requires footedness and mean resilience.
Riding:
A rider that is capable of mounting and dismounting unassisted, can apply the basic aids, is comfortable in walk, moderate length working trots and short canters.
Category 3
Tours with frequent physical effort require a good physical condition. Extreme changing in weather, trips on bad roads and basic accommodation, requiring physical fitness and mental resilience.
Riding:
A rider that has a firm seat and is comfortable and control at all paces (including working trots, canters and gallops). He proficient at riding over more challenging terrain that may include small jumps.
Category 4
Severe tours where during several days mentioned above-average physical efforts. The tours can be aggravated by extreme temperature and altitude differences and weather conditions. Longer trips over interurban roads and overnight stays in tents in high altitudes may occur. Mental load-carrying capacity and good physical shape are needed. Footedness and physical fitness, gained through regular physical activity are needed.

A rider who rules comfortable and controlled all paces (including working trots, canters and gallops). He proficient at riding over more challenging terrain that may include small jumps. In addition he has a balanced and independent seat, a soft hand and he is confident to ride forward going, and in some cases, spirited horses.
Category 5
Absolute top condition is essential. One is mentally tough and in excellent physical condition. The perfect use of crampons and ice axe, and reliable climbing on fixed ropes, ascent and descent with more than 1500 m altitude differences and for several hours are not a problem.
